CASTELLO DI NEIVE

The Stupino brothers (Anna, Giulio, Italo and Piera) are the owners of Castello di Neive and about 60 hectares of land in Neive (Italian municipality of the province of Coni in the Piedmont region). They were all born in Neive as well as their parents, grandparents and great-grandparents. The history of this castle of Neive began when their father, Giacomo, began to use his experience as a surveyor and his great knowledge of the region to acquire, if possible, land and vines in the best positions. In the small cellars of the former Stupino family house, this is where the first production of wine for domestic consumption and bulk sales begins.

In 1970, the first bottling and introduction of Castello di Neive wines into the world began. In 1978, through the collaboration between his son Italo and some great figures from the Faculty of Agriculture of Turin, the planting of the clonal selection sull’Arneis, abandoned and almost unknown grapes began. In recent years, Italo has been involved in a company race under the brand name « Castello di Neive Agricole ».

Tradition, research and creativity. This is the company’s philosophy without neglecting centuries of experience in the field of viticulture, using new technologies. Since 1995, the company has produced a fabulous and classic sparkling wine made exclusively from Pinot Noir: Classico Castello di Neive.
